Functions

This recipe is designed for kidney diseases caused by kidney-yin deficiency. Dogs with this condition may exhibit symptoms such as sensitivity to heat, thirst, dry skin, and irritability. The menu uses a low-protein, low-phosphorus, and low-sodium formula, suitable only for dogs with kidney disease. The ingredients used help nourish kidney-yin. A small amount of black sesame is included, as black foods are believed to target the kidney meridian and enhance kidney-replenishing effects. Ingredients like Chinese yam, Ophiopogon (Mai Dong), and goji berries help nourish yin and strengthen the kidneys. Dogs with kidney disease often experience anemia or blood deficiency, so red dates are included to nourish the blood.
